Eastern Ontario Bridges

Multicache Geocache Self-Guided Ride

This multicache geocache ride is intended for beginners to geocaching and/or those unfamiliar with the use of their GPS receivers.  The entire ride, including hunting for clues, should take no longer than 2.5 hours.  The ride is about 100km in length.  The Eastern Ontario Bridges Self-Guided Ride covers the same general route but doesn’t include the first clue or cache locations.

Notes: I recommend you set your GPS to “shortest” route to try to ensure you get the same route as I have intended.  The ride clues below include two “dummy” locations that are not associated with clues to force your GPS receiver to follow the roads I have chosen.  All locations should be entered in the order shown.

Warning: Although all roads are paved, some of the pavement is particularly old and includes rough sections.  Please drive at appropriate speeds.

You are looking for a translucent tupperware container with a blue lid, similar to the one shown at left.

The cache will be found at:

N45° AB.CBD          W075° EF.FGC

The cache is located about 300 metres down a dirt road, but there is a small parking area just off the main paved road if you would rather walk to the cache location.  The cache is hidden amongst the debris shown in the picture to the left:
